Fancy learning to fly a Radio Controlled (RC) Aircraft?
If you're considering learning to fly a Radio Controlled (RC) Aircraft, or just to have a go and see if you enjoy the experience, whether it be propeller (electric, glow, or petrol engine) or jet (EDF or gas turbine) powered, or even a glider, then come to us to help realise this.
Learning to fly RC Aircraft is an enjoyable experience that usually leads to a life-long hobby. It is possible to teach yourself to fly but like many skills it can be difficult, frustrating and expensive without help and guidance in doing so, and many people who try this route give up. As such, we recommend experienced support in learning to fly RC Aircraft, and we have experienced pilots who will teach you to not only fly, but also how to select and look after your ideal model aircraft. You can either use your own model initially, or the club has it's own training aircraft and associated equipment which you can use to learn how to fly initially. There are plenty of training aircraft to choose from if you decide to buy your own and you can get plenty of advice from our members as to the most suitable for you to learn how to fly. Depending on how you aircraft is powered will depend on what equipment you will require, but whatever aircraft you choose you will need a; radio transmitter, receiver, (this picks up the signal given by the Transmitter and is mounted in the aircraft) and servos which are small electric motors which move the control surfaces of the aircraft causing it to change direction in the air.
If you fancy having a go, fill out the contact form and we will get back to you quickly to arrange a suitable time and location.
