GDMAS are currently in the progress of creating a new flying site near Stragglethorpe in Lincolnshire, on the site of the original RAF Fulbeck, which was used as a transport and bomber base during and post WWII. The site is approximately 4.5 acres, with a large hard standing area for parking, pits , and Winter flying. There are also two very large grassed runways, the main one being nearly 500 feet in length, providing flying opportunities for all/most wind directions. The site is suitable for the majority of flying disciplines, with the surrounding land of working arable crops preventing free-flight currently. The site should be ready for active use this Spring, once the grass is mature and cut. If you are interested in joining the club to make use of this new flying location, please use the membership application page, or contact our Membership Secretary for more details.
